Temple Construction ISKCON Gangasagar Temple is a magnificent project that aims to showcase the glory of Bengal, and serve as a unique cultural and Vedic educational center. The temple is currently under construction at Gangasagar Island, South 24 Parganas district, West Bengal, India. It will be a state-of-the-art structure that will attract visitors from all over the world.
The project construction will be done in three phases. The first phase will include the main temple, the second phase will include the guest house, and the third phase will include a full-dome theater. The total budget for the first phase is Rs. 15 crores. The temple will have a height of G+2 and a built-up area of 50,000 sq. ft. The project is set on about 3.5 acres of land offered by the State Govt. of West Bengal and the temple construction is sponsored by the family of Late Govind Saha Gupta.
The presiding deities will be installed on the first floor of the temple. The ground floor will feature an auditorium, a light and sound exhibition on the appearance of Mother Ganga on Earth from heaven, a souvenir counter, and other facilities.

The last slab is expected to be cast within 2023. The dome and marble finishing, framing doors and windows, making wooden curved deity altar, electrical works, painting work will start from April 2024.
