Gangasagar is a sacred place where Lord Kapila Deva instructed His mother Devahuti on the science of self-realization. It is also the holy confluence of the river Ganga and the Bay of Bengal. Every year, millions of pilgrims visit this holy place to take a dip in the water and worship Lord Kapila Deva and Mother Ganga. Many of them are yogis, sadhus, sannyasis, and brahmacharis who have renounced worldly pleasures and dedicated their lives to God.
By serving them, we are serving Lord Krishna Himself, who is pleased by the service of His devotees. That is why we are organizing a charity camp at Gangasagar Mela 2024, where we will provide free prasadam (sanctified food), pandal (temporary night shelter), Swach Mela ground (temporary toilet and bathrooms), free warm clothes (blankets, etc.), The Bhagavad Gita (the essence of all Vedic wisdom), and medical care to the pilgrims. We aim to distribute 1,25,000 plates of prasadam during the seven days of the mela.
