ISKCON International Life Patron Program

The ISKCON International Life Patron Program was established by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada in the early 1970s. Srila Prabhupada envisioned that people everywhere could become part of the ISKCON family and experience the joy of Krishna consciousness. He personally invited everyone to receive the uplifting association of devotees by staying in ISKCON temples while travelling, making it easy to participate in spiritual programs across the world.

Life Patron Membership – What Does It Mean?

1. Seva – Service

Membership gives you a sacred opportunity to serve Sri Krishna, expressing gratitude to the Supreme Lord, who is the eternal giver and receiver.

2. Patronship Card

You will receive a centrally issued hologram patronship card with your photo and unique patron number. This card comes along with an updated directory of ISKCON centres worldwide, making your spiritual journeys easier.

3. Accommodation

As a Life Patron, you are welcome to stay for three days each year at any official ISKCON centre worldwide.

• Accommodation is subject to prior reservation and availability of rooms designated for Life Patrons.
• Room maintenance charges may apply in some centres.
• Stay includes: patron, spouse, children below 18, and dependent parents above 60.
• The cardholder’s presence is required. In their absence, facility use is at the discretion of the hosting temple.

4. Prasadam – Sanctified Meals

Enjoy free prasadam meals twice daily for up to three days each year at any ISKCON temple, whether you stay overnight or not. This applies to regular temple meals only and does not cover restaurants or snack counters inside temple premises.

5. Spiritual Knowledge

Receive a set of devotional books (Srimad Bhagavatam or other approved titles, in Bengali, Hindi, or English), turning your home into a transcendental library.

6. Tax Benefit

Donors in India may avail themselves of tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, subject to applicable conditions.

Additional Information

Who Can Enrol

• Anyone 18 years or older can enrol as a Life Patron.
• Children of existing Life Patrons may also enrol upon payment of the full fee, even if under 18.
• There are no restrictions on nationality or country of residence.

Books

• After full payment is received in ISKCON’s bank account, the donor (or an authorised representative) may collect the book set directly from the temple.
• Delivery to your address can be arranged with additional courier charges.

Patron Card

• Your Life Patron Card will arrive within 3 months via courier or registered post (within India).
• For overseas addresses, additional mailing charges apply.
• The card is non-transferable. However:
• A surviving spouse of a Life Patron who has passed away is entitled to free enrolment, upon completing formalities.
• If you relocate and wish to be associated with another ISKCON centre, you may request your name to be added to that centre’s mailing list through your enrolling centre.

Once received, you may contact any official ISKCON centre directly (via phone or email) for reservations.

At the time of booking, you will need to provide your card number and relevant details.

Note

Acceptance of the Life Patron Membership application is at the sole discretion of Temple management. In case an applicant does not meet the required criteria, or the temple management feels its not appropriate to grant the Life Patron Membership, the management reserves the right to reject the application, without assigning any reasons thereof, with full money being refunded to the applicant.

Paying the fee towards Life Patron Membership does not automatically grant the member the right to become a member. This is only a precondition for acceptance of the same. In case other criteria are not met, the application can be rejected.
